Established in 1995, Gramin Vikas Kendra is based in Jamkhed. Our organization work in the sector of human right, justice, pardhi vikas, women empowerment, child welfare and education,dalits,Adivasis, neglected communities,etc. Our work area is spread across Maharashtra. At present the branches of our work are spread across nagar district, areas like karjat, jamkhed, shrigonda in Nagar district.

Gramin Vikas Kendra has been working in justice rights of pardhi community since year 2009. According to the survey conducted 501 caste certificate, rationcard, some caste of migrant community and Pardhi community through government camps, which was backed up by Gramin Vikas Kendra Organization.

In 2011, Gramin Vikas Kendra, CORO India, CSRD (Nagar), together in coordination, carried out family survey in 6 districts of southern part of Nagar,consisting of 207 villages,1292 families and 5690 pardhi community people.

Gramin Vikas Kendra is working with Pardhi community on the issues, generated from the conclusion derived from the survey, organization also works on issues like education, harassment, superstition, government schemes, caste panchayats, women harassment. Gramin Vikas Kendra actively participates in fights for rights of migrants, Dalits, Adivaasis, also actively participates in issuing of Ration card, voter card, Adhaar Card, Caste Certificate and to inform about government scheme and how to benefit from them.
